Jennifer Lopez Leaving 'American Idol'? Why Lady Gaga Should Replace Her

Jennifer Lopez may not return to American Idol next season, so who should replace her? Why not Lady Gaga.

Jennifer Lopez told the BBC Radio in a recent interview that she is "on the fence" about returning to the show as a judge for another season. Well, good riddance. As the Hollywood Reporter article so aptly points out that J. Lo "offered mostly positive critiques of the season 10 contestants and showed emotion when some were eliminated." The real problem with American Idol is that it's missing Simon Cowell, and in his absence, no judge has stepped up to the plate to give the hard-to-swallow, but often necessary criticism.

'Cowboys and Aliens' Trailer Released Before Super Bowl Airing

The new Cowboys and Aliens trailer scheduled to premiere during the Super Bowl at the end of thefirst quarter was released pre-game on YouTube. While the trailer itself, featuring never before seen footage, has left fans salivating for the film's release, the question is why release the trailer online just hours before a spot during the most watched televised event of the year?

The Cowboys and Aliens trailer is not the only Super Bowl spot to have a pre-game debut, either, but a few other highly anticipated commercials have also already been aired early online and discussed on GMA and on the Today Show.

Did Comic Con Ticket Servers Crash Because of 'Twilight' Fans?

Tickets to Comic Con 2011 in San Diego went on sale early this morning, but thanks to an overflow on the servers of ticket sales site TicketLeap, most fans anxious to buy tickets to the most popular convention in the world found themselves staring at an error message instead. Some might blame the event organizers or even the website for not being up to handling the anticipated traffic, but true comic book fans know where the real blame is due: "Twilight" fans.

Comic Con San Diego, once the Mecca of costumed comic book collectors has grown into what some might call a Hollywood monstrosity in recent years. While it was once possible to purchase tickets to the event on site, these days it sells out in advance, thanks mostly to Hollywood's infiltration of the once self-proclaimed geek convention.

Is "Big Lebowski 2" in the Works?

"Big Lebowski 2." Could it be true? Is Jeff Bridges really suiting up in jellies and bathrobe as the Dude once more?

According to an interview with actress Tara Reid, she is set to star in a sequel to the cult hit and begin filming this year. But is that really true? Fortunately, the answer to that would be a big fat "no."

'The Real World: Las Vegas' Gets Trashy

"Real World: Las Vegas" premiering in March on MTV will be the 25th season of the reality franchise that started it all. In a fitting location to celebrate such a big anniversary, the cast of seven strangers will be heading back to Sin City, where the show was shot once previously for season 9 in 2002.

This time around, the "The Real World: Las Vegas" cast members Nany, Adam, Michael, Naomi, Dustin, Leroy and Heather will be residing in a four-room suite at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, complete with bowling alley and hot tub, of course--no self-disrespecting season of the hit reality show would be complete without one.

Will Kevin Smith's 'Red State' Redfine Independent Filmmaking?

Kevin Smith's "Red State" created the biggest buzz at Sundance yesterday, not so much for the film itself--which so far has had merely tepid reviews--but for the shocking twist the director presented at the end of the film's screening.

Kevin Smith, an avid Tweeter, had been hyping his new film's Sundance screening for weeks, with the special announcement that he would be auctioning off the film's distribution rights immediately at the end of the screening. As it turns out, however, the auction was a fake and merely a ploy for Smith to reveal that he would be distributing "Red State" himself.

Oscar Countdown: Will James Franco Bring The Funny?

James Franco seems to be popping up everywhere these days. Between guest roles on daytime soaps, Golden Globe nominated “127 Hours” and attending Yale University, the 32-year-old actor is definitely making the rounds these days. Franco even appeared at Sundance over the weekend donning a blond wig to promote his new film “Three's Company: The Drama.”

James Franco's next big gig, of course, is as Oscar co-host. The role will have him trying to fill the shoes of many funny men and women before him, and although Franco has appeared in his fair share of funny films like "Pineapple Express" and "Date Night" the question remains, is he funny enough for the Oscar Awards?
